Ross Wetmore

Director

Ross Wetmore has been a resident of Oromocto and surrounding area since 1958. 

Ross joined the board of the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery in the spring of 2024. 

He brings over 30 years of business experience to the board and fourteen years legislative experience as an elected member of the New Brunswick Legislature, representing the riding of Gagetown Petitcodiac. During his time in the Legislative Assembly he served on various committees, most notably the Standing Committee on Public Account, Standing Committee on Crown Corporations and the Select Committee on Cannabis. Ross has also served as minister for Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries.

Ross and his wife Margaret currently reside in Devon.

The Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery Committee is seeking new members who wish to be involved with an all-volunteer executive and director committee which makes all of the decisions regarding the day-to-day operation and does all the work for the upkeep of the cemetery.
