Board of Directors
Retired from the Canadian Army as a Chief Warrant Officer in 2008 after 35 years of service, specializing in vehicle maintenance and fleet management. Joined the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery Committee in 2011 as an Ad Hoc member and then as a Director in 2013. He was voted in as President in 2018 and continues to be very active in grounds' keeping and cemetery equipment maintenance.
He is very proud to be an active member of such a forward thinking and productive organization. Pioneer Gardens has set the standard to which future cemeteries should strive to meet with regards to layout and peaceful beauty. A true gem within the town of Oromocto.
Paul C. F. Gallinger
He was posted to CFB Gagetown, Trials and Evaluation Section, in 1990, retired in 1997 after 38 plus years in the Canadian Artillery. Upon retirement, he and his wife purchased a home in Oromocto to be close to their daughter and her family that lived in Astle, NB. Following the passing of his wife in 2008, he joined the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery Committee and served as a board member as the promotion member and Representative for the Last Post Fund. He is currently serving as the Vice President.
Like the rest of the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery committee, he is very proud of what has been achieved since the cemeteries inception. The all-volunteer committee members are incredibly dedicated and work hard to maintain and improve all aspects of the cemetery. Like all volunteer organizations, they are always looking for new members who wish to serve on a board that fulfils such an essential community undertaking. If interested you can contact any committee member.
Ian A. Andrews
Retired educator and education consultant having taught at the high school level for 35 years (33 at Oromocto High) and for the past 10 years part time in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Became involved with the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery project from its inception when the need for a community cemetery became obvious as existing facilities were becoming inadequate for a town in which so many citizens, including his family, had decided to retire. Envision Oromocto Pioneer Cemetery as a quiet tranquil place, with a park-like atmosphere, a place where people can relax and feel comfortable in thought and meditation, either by themselves or with friends and relations.
Donna J. Trainor
Background was with the Canadian Government in Canada, France and Germany, primarily for DND. Retired in 2004 from the office of the Commander, Combat Training Centre, at CFB Gagetown. Involved in administration and accounting for her entire career. Shortly after retiring, became involved with Pioneer Gardens Cemetery at the urging of former-Mayor Fay Tidd. One of the original Board Members, she has served as secretary since incorporation and also maintains the software related to sales and burials. Believes strongly that the cemetery fills a huge void in the community and takes a personal interest in all aspects of its operation. As interest from the community grows, she sees the cemetery growing and expanding far beyond the original plans.
Maurice (Moe) R. Dubé

After working as a primary care giver for several years, he became a member of N.B. As the treasurer, he handles all accounting and financial operations of the cemetery. His past experience will be beneficial for the future of this Cemetery and he is looking forward to becoming a proud member.
